Verna oh Verna!

You know what happened in my LING 216 tut last week?

Well, let me tell you about it. My Socio-Linguistic tutorial is on Thursday 6-7pm. I am the only Malaysian student in that class, the others are I think external students. There are only 9 of us. oopppss~ now we are left with 8 since pakcik Darren switched to another class ( i rase die trauma ngan Verna ). I always had that feeling that Verna does not like me (well, its her lost actually not to like someone as adorable as me =P ). She wont look me into the eyes, and wont praise my work like she did to the other students. I've tried my very best to be the most parcitipating and enthusiastic student in her class. I answered most of her questions and tried my very hard not to yawn in her class (susah tau, since her class is boring).

Ok. Last week, the tutorial is about Fijian English and we heard a recorded voice of a Fijian english and bla bla bla bla. Before the class ended, she asked if any of us want to take the cassete back. No one answered, and in fact everyone just pretended that they did not hear what she said. Well, you remember I said just now that I tried to be the best student? yeah, I am soooooo stupid.

I: "I would like to hear the cassette but I dont have a cassette player at home" *blinking eyes*
Verna : "Ouh, well, you can take this stereo back home too."
I: *stunned* *tergamam* *terkedu* *terpempan* *speechless*

So, there I was, at 7pm last Thursday, bringing the big and heavy stereo back from tutorial. Climbing the hill with all the kepayahan. Haaaiiiihhhhhhh, I blame my big mouth! So, today, if any of you guys see me bringing the big and heavy stereo to class~~~ not a word! ok? not a word!
